Overview

There are two ultimate competitions in Evony: Battlefield and Server War. Battlefield is happening several times a week, and has several variations like Battle of Gaugamela, Battle of Constantinople, Battle of Chalons. Server war is the  last two-day stage of Server vs. Server (aka SVS) which happens once every two weeks.

Battlefield is a risk-free practice: you can get clear picture what size of enemies you can defend and attack against. The risk-free part means all troops are resurrected in the end of 2 hour practice in the Battlefield. No resources can be plundered in Battlefield as well.

Opposite to this is Server War. Here, if you are missing your bubble, resources will be plundered, and troops might be lost if you ran out of hospital capacity for healing, and/or SOL stones for resurrection.

Kill Enemies (KE) which is part of Monarch Competition every other week is excluded as self-destructive per our mission statement.

These two types of quests are main measures of your keep development, alliance development and coordination; and overall server alignment.

Other quests in the game are allowing for growth; and will be described separately outside of this guide.

Main Formula

Let's get into key development milestones. Overall formula for your readiness can be described by four development levels:

Power = Troop Level x General Level x City Development Level

Troop level

This limited by level of four barracks (Archer Camp, Barracks, Stables, and Workshop) inside your city. The development level here is defined on how many troops of each type and level is in your city. It mostly depends on amount of primary resources (RSS) you are able to collect at the moment.

General level (GL)

GL can be described by the following formula:
GL = gear level + specialty + enhancement and accession level + cultivation levels + dragon or spiritual beast level

City Development Level

CDL depends on the level of buildings, as well as level of Research in Academia and Military Academia, main defense general and duty officer team, as well as subordinate cities and team of their mayors. This is not the full list as game keeps adding features like Champion, and troop Blazons.

These will define your troop buffs (attack, defense and HP multipliers) and debuffs (attack, defense and HP reducers of your enemy's buffs).
